to locate our farm be aware that these indicate the lane just south
of our farm as the centre of our postcode (LL45 2HS).
Argoed Farm is located directly off the A496 just north of where
these mapping sites indicate.
From Harlech
Argoed Farm is located approximately 1.5 miles
south of Harlech and just south of the village of Llanfair
on the A496 coast road.
On leaving Harlech on the A496, continue for a mile when
you will see the village of Llanfair on your left. Pass
the turning for Llandanwg on your right and continue
on until you descend a steep hill passing the turning
for the Llanfair Slate caverns on your left .
As the hill levels out you will see a turning on your
left with a large upright stone marked "Argoed"
(see photo above).
Turn up the lane (which has a cattle grid near
the main road). Continue up the lane until you reach
the farm buildings and turn right into the camping field.
From Barmouth
Argoed Farm is approximately 8 miles north of Barmouth
and about a mile north of the village of Llanbedr
on the A496 coast road.
Leaving Llanbedr on the A496, continue for about a mile
passing Pensarn harbour buildings and railway station
on your left as you go up a small hill. As it levels
out continue on past Pensarn Hall on your right and the
next turning on the right will be have a large upright
stone marked "Argoed" (see photo above).
Turn up the lane (which has a cattle grid near the main
road). Continue up the lane until you reach the farm
buildings and turn right into the caravan field.
By Train
Argoed Farm is easily reached by train.
Pensarn Station, on BR Cambrian Coast Line, is less than
400 yards from Argoed Farm's entrance. The Cambrian Coast
Line connects easily to the rest of the rail network at
Machynlleth, where it connects with the Birmingham (New
Street) to Aberystwyth line.
After leaving Pensarn Station turn left at the main road
(cross the road - there is a good footpath) and continue
past Pensarn Hall for about 200 yards until you see the
"Argoed" sign (see photo above).
Turn up the lane (which has a cattle grid near the main road). Continue up the
lane until you reach the farm buildings and turn right into the caravan field.
